Some Checks For The Breakfast Room

Since my home is an open floor plan from the living/dining into the family/breakfast rooms, I like to tie them together with either pattern or color, but I really don’t want things to be matchy, matchy. One way to do that is take one of the fabrics and repeat it in both spaces, this let’s the eye continue to flow as you move from room to room.

I carried the same check into the breakfast area that I have in the living/dining rooms.

A check tablecloth and pillow in the living room.

And there’s a check runner on the dining table too.

As you walk from one area to the next the eye remembers the check and even though this room does not have green as an accent, it still ties them together visually.

I added a pleated ruffle to the ends of this one for a little extra fun and whimsey.

Brown feathers and berries add even more brown to help tie the two room together.

I am adding some checks to the family room too, but you’ll have to wait to see that because there’s a few more colors and patterns being added to the mix. I will show you when I get it all done. Here’s a peak
