More Crisp, Fresh White Accessories

I’ve been on a kick adding more and more white to the house. It just seems to look cool, crisp and fresh. Perfect for the summer months.

This shelf in the breakfast room is such a favorite piece and I love to change things up a bit. While it is definitely substantial, the actual shelf space is not very deep, so I have to find narrow things to fit on it.

This shelf has previously had some color in the accessories, but white seems to be what I am craving. I thought a few of my new little potted plants that I’ve been making with white and wicker would be perfect for the season.

A few wicker and rope orbs are fun to go with the rafia texture of the bee skeep.

My little duck tureen and pedestal rooster fit in well too.

On this side I have my white pedestal artichoke and a fat white rooster.

You can’t see all of him from this angel, but my black and white cow plate is fun too, and balances the black and white transferware plate on the other end.

Simple changes for a nice fresh look paired with my black and white transferware on the wall and my collection of little pitchers.

I love the picture of my praying man, giving thanks, and he has hung in my breakfast area for over 40 years. Definitely makes this area home. (On a side note, you know those antique frames that are plaster and really ornate and gilded that you find at antique stores, usually with part of the plaster missing. That is what this frame was, I just soaked it in the bathtub until I could soften the plaster enough to scrap it off and then I found this fabulous wood frame underneath) So if you find one in really bad shape and cheap, this is what’s probably underneath.
