I Found A New Chair

If you have been following along, I have been looking for a new recliner for me in the familyroom.  I love the one I’ve had for years and have had it recovered, but it is time for something smaller and a different style.  Well, today I not only found one, I found two, twins and they were an unreal price, so I bought them both.  One will go to my son for his new house.

Here it is, isn’t the style perfect and the smaller scale looks perfect too.

Now before you say anything about the color, there was a reason for these two chairs.

When I found them, they seemed really well made and the legs were exactly like the leather recliner I have, so I started trying to find out who the Mfg. was.  This was stapled to the bottom.  I didn’t mean to pull it off, but it was just hanging there with one staple.  They are La-Z-Boy.   The ones we have now are La-Z-Boy and I totally love them.

Next reason is this.  Can you believe the price!!!!!!   $19.99 for each chair.  I bought a few other things, but $40.00 for 2 La-Z-Boy recliners is unreal.

This is a close up of the fabric.  Not what I want, however it looks fabulous in my son’s house with my old beige sofa.  I have looked and looked and couldn’t find what I wanted in the fabric I wanted, now I can have mine reupholstered in exactly what I want and it will still be cheaper than buying new.

Now, don’t you like it better.  I took the one with the most wear since I am going to have mine reupholstered, but the one I gave to my son looks fabulous.  I think I struck gold.

Remember, this is what the old recliner looked like.  My son wants it for his familyroom.  It will work great for his man cave.

I think this style and size is much better for this room.  I am finally getting the furniture in proportion to the size of this house. – – – – small.

The other treasures that I found were some napkins.  8 of the black/white plaid, 4 of the brown/white check and 4 of the beige.  These will work perfectly with my dishes and tablescapes.

They are only 49c each too, so great buy.

$47.82 for 2 La-Z-Boy recliners and 16 napkins and it wasn’t even 1/2 price of Senior Day.  Yip-Skip

As I have told you all before, I live on the far outskirts of town and GW is the only thing close to me.  No  thrift store or major shopping, however, I do live next to some really luxurious homes and there is plenty of money around, so donations to the GW are always fabulous.  If you can find a GW in a really affluent area, you may be surprised what all you can pick up.
